A Russian drone strike in Bohodukhiv, west of Kharkiv, killed four people, including three children, a Ukrainian official said. Oleg Synegubov, head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that two one-year-old boys, a two-year-old girl, and a 34-year-old man died when the drone hit their house. A 35-year-old pregnant woman and a 76-year-old woman were injured in the attack. This strike came after a week-long pause in Russian attacks. On Tuesday, Russian forces also bombed Slovyansk, killing two people, including an 11-year-old girl, said Donetsk regional governor Vadym Filashkin. Bohodukhiv had already been hit earlier in the week. On Monday, drone strikes across Ukraine caused power outages for tens of thousands and killed at least four people, including a mother and her 10-year-old son in Bohodukhiv, according to Reuters. The Kharkiv region has seen rising attacks on key transport and energy targets. President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia used a record number of ballistic missiles there. Local authorities declared a state of emergency over the energy crisis as the so-called "energy truce" expired amid severe cold below -20°C. Zelensky also said the US wants the war with Russia to end by June and invited both sides for talks next week. Meanwhile, a large drone strike hit Volzhsky in Russia’s Volgograd region on Wednesday night, damaging an apartment and causing a factory fire, said Governor Andrei Bocharov.
