Chinese Healthcare Firms Expand Abroad to Serve Rising Expat Demand
February 11, 2026
Chinese healthcare companies are expanding internationally to support Chinese communities living abroad. Distinct Healthcare, a private firm from Shenzhen, said it will open its first clinic in Dubai this year. The company has earlier opened clinics in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Philip Wang, CEO of Distinct Healthcare Holdings, said, "Chinese expatriate workers are often not familiar with the local healthcare system." He added, "If there is a Chinese-run clinic, they may come to us. We can help bridge the language gap … or we can help connect them with some local resources to assist them." This move aims to follow the flow of Chinese customers in international markets. On Friday, Distinct Healthcare raised HK$284.53 million (US$36.4 million) in its initial public offering (IPO) on the Hong Kong stock exchange. Since listing, its stock price dropped about 12 percent, closing at HK$59.90 on Tuesday.
