HYDERABAD: Dr. Buddha Prakash Jyothi took charge as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) on Thursday. The event happened at the company’s corporate office, Singareni Bhavan. He was welcomed by key directors including L.V. Suryanarayana (Operations), K. Venkateshwarlu (Projects & Planning), Gowtham Potru (Personnel & Finance), B. Venkanna (Executive Director - Coal Movement), and General Manager T. Srinivas (Coordination & Marketing). The directors briefed him on Singareni's working and operations. Dr. Buddha Prakash is an IAS officer from the 2002 batch. Before this role, he was Secretary of the Scheduled Castes Development Department. He also served as Secretary in the State Planning Department. His past experience includes roles as District Collector of Adilabad and ITDA Project Officer in Bhadrachalam. His appointment is expected to bring strong leadership to the coal company.
