February 13, 2026
Mysuru City Police have intensified their anti-drug campaign named ‘Vimukthi’. Officers visited schools, colleges, and hostels across the city to teach students about the harmful effects of drugs. The campaign includes visits to Maharani’s Women’s PU College, Vivekananda PU College, Vidyavikas College Hostel, Government Nature Cure and Yoga Medical College, D. Devaraj Urs Boys’ Hostel, and S.N.S. PU College.
During these sessions, police explained the campaign’s goal to stop drug sale and use. Students were urged to stay alert and report any drug activity. The police provided a helpline number, 8277948080, for citizens to share information about illegal drug-related acts. Authorities promised that all informants’ identities would be kept secret.
Posters with the helpline are placed in schools, public places, parks, and key city locations to encourage public cooperation. The police commissioner’s office confirmed their strong commitment to making Mysuru drug-free and called upon students and citizens to support this cause.
The ‘Vimukthi’ campaign marks a focused effort by Mysuru Police to curb drug menace through education and active public participation.
