Mysuru Police Book Two in Major Anti-Drug Drive Across 61 Lodges
February 13, 2026
On February 12, Mysuru City Police carried out a strong enforcement drive to fight drugs. They inspected 61 lodges, 22 paying guest houses, and 41 parks across the city. The teams also checked out city outskirts, including godowns and isolated houses, searching for drug sales, trafficking, and use.
This operation is part of the 'Vimukthi' campaign, aimed at making Mysuru drug-free. During the drive, police questioned 18 people suspected of drug use. Out of them, two individuals under Narasimharaja Police Station were confirmed to have consumed narcotics.
A legal case was filed against these two persons under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Narasimharaja Police Station.
To support the campaign, the police have displayed the helpline number 8277948080 in many public places. Citizens are urged to report any drug-related activities. Authorities have promised to keep all informants' identities confidential.
