SpaceX Crew-12 Launches to International Space Station for 8-Month Mission

SpaceX's Crew-12 astronauts have taken off towards the International Space Station (ISS). The team includes NASA's Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, the European Space Agency's Sophie Adenot, and Roscosmos's Andrey Fedyaev. They blasted off aboard the Falcon 9 rocket and will take about 34 hours to reach the ISS. Once there, they plan to stay for eight months. This team replaces the crew that left the station last month due to a medical emergency. After the launch, mission commander Jessica Meir said, "Crew-12 is grateful and ready for the journey ahead."
