Andhra Pradesh gears up for a grand Pakala Beach Festival on February 14 and 15, 2026. Several ministers including Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Dr. Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, Kandula Durgesh, B.C. Janardhan Reddy, Gottipati Ravi Kumar, and Anagani Satya Prasad will attend the event. Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Nukasani Balaji told The Hindu on February 13 that more than ₹2 crore is being spent jointly by the Tourism Department and Maritime Board to make this two-day festival special. "A.P. Tourism Department and Maritime Board are jointly spending more than ₹2 crore to host this two-day event at Pakala Beach in a grand manner. This shallow water beach will be among the top ten developed beaches in the State," he said.
Balaji added, "As Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is giving top priority to the tourism sector, we are doing our best to develop Pakala Beach as major tourist destination in the district. After the successful completion of this event, we are planning to restart the resort near the beach which was deteriorated due to the neglect of the previous government."
A.P. Maritime Board Chairman Damacharla Satyanarayana urged people to visit the festival, noting, "Pakala Beach is just six kilometres away from the National Highway. The State government is undertaking several programmes to provide entertainment and joy to the people."
The festival will feature thrilling water sports, colorful cultural shows, and other entertainment activities. Visitors can also enjoy a helicopter ride arranged specifically for the event. Special arrangements have been made for women’s safety, and 500 police personnel will be deployed to maintain security and order throughout the festival.
