A day after it was revealed that Imran Khan’s right eye has only 15% vision left, the opposition alliance Tehreek Tahafuz-i-Ayeen Pakistan (TTAP) began a sit-in outside Parliament House on Friday. The TTAP said it will continue the protest until Imran Khan is admitted to Al-Shifa Hospital. They demand medical access in the presence of his family and personal doctors. PTI leader Asad Qaiser said parliamentarians reached the House despite obstacles and discussed future plans. The protest moved to a corridor inside Parliament under opposition leaders Mehmood Khan Achakzai and Raja Nasir Abbas. TTAP chief Achakzai vowed to continue until all demands are met. Claims emerged that government blocked roads and shut gates to stop MPs from joining the sit-in. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and his party members were stopped by police from entering Parliament and sat outside KP House instead. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said the government respects Imran's right to medical care and denies political motives. He assured Imran Khan will be taken anywhere he wants for treatment, including Al-Shifa Eye Trust, and no negligence will be tolerated. Chaudhry noted that Imran’s eye issue had not been raised in earlier medical checks and a new medical report will be issued soon. TTAP demanded the Supreme Court issue formal written orders for Imran’s examination by specialists at Al-Shifa. Imran's sister Aleema Khan said the family is waiting for the Supreme Court’s written directive, stressing the urgency to save his eyesight. The opposition alliance warned that denying medical care is illegal and immoral. Awaam Pakistan party also announced it will join TTAP's peaceful protest after Friday prayers. Their spokesperson Dr Zafar Mirza said Imran’s eye health is at risk without urgent treatment and supported the dharna until Imran receives proper care.
