A Jet2 flight (LS896) from Antalya, Turkey to Manchester, UK had to make an emergency landing in Brussels, Belgium. Two passengers began physically fighting mid-air. Other travelers screamed as chairs smeared with blood and teeth were seen on the floor. Jet2 called the passengers' behaviour "appalling" and said those two would be banned for life. The trouble began with one passenger making racist remarks loud enough for others nearby to hear. He was drunk from drinking during the flight but reportedly aware of his words. When denied cigarettes by the cabin crew, he became aggressive and targeted nearby Pakistani passengers. The pilot, with 30 years' experience, said he had never witnessed such chaos. After landing, the two passengers were removed from the flight. A passenger shared their shock on social media: “What should have been a straightforward journey turned into one of the most distressing experiences we’ve had.”
