7-Eleven Inc., a Texas-based retail chain operating 86,000 stores globally, has expanded its only Global Solution Centre (GSC) located in Bengaluru. The company added 2,32,090 sq ft, turning it into a large workspace that now includes a mock store for employee experience. Malahar Pinnelli, vice-president and country leader of 7-Eleven GSC, told The Hindu the centre moved from just operational support to a strategic value hub. “Bengaluru now represents a critical node in 7-Eleven’s global ecosystem, leveraging deep technical expertise and innovation capabilities to build end-to-end digital, data, and operational platforms,” he said. The GSC, opened in 2020, now has over 900 professionals. The company is investing in upskilling, leadership, and apprenticeships to develop future leaders. In five years, the Bengaluru GSC has become a multi-domain Centre of Excellence that powers innovation and improves customer experience globally. The expansion in data engineering, core engineering, and product development has strengthened its role as a talent accelerator. As part of 7-Eleven’s Store Support Centres in the US, the Bengaluru GSC creates products, integrates systems, and delivers key services, driving next-gen digital transformation for millions of customers worldwide.
