Opposition members from PTI and TTAP are holding a sit-in at Parliament House and KP House, Islamabad, demanding immediate hospital transfer for former PM Imran Khan. Imran’s right eye reportedly has only 15% vision left, triggering major concerns and protests since Friday. The sit-in began after Friday prayers and has entered its second day without any break. Police have stopped food and water from entering the Parliament premises, leaving the protesters hungry and exhausted inside. TTAP leader Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar tweeted about police blocking his attempt to give breakfast to protesters, calling this refusal "highly insensitive" and labeling it “yazidiat.” Opposition leaders say no one can enter or leave Parliament. PTI Central Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram said the leaders are “trapped” and suffering hunger. Prominent figures leading the protest include TTAP Chairman Mehmood Khan Achakzai and PTI leaders Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Senator Ali Zafar, and others. PTI’s Shandana Gulzar accused the government of delaying Imran’s medical treatment and alleged that police manhandled opposition leaders. Aleema Khanum, Imran’s sister, criticized the Supreme Court for delaying written orders on his treatment. She said lawyers waited two full days without a court directive to transfer Imran to Shifa Hospital. She claimed Chief Justice Yahya Afridi was away attending a jeep rally and urged public support to pressure the government. Dr Faisal Sultan, Imran’s personal physician and CEO of Shaukat Khanum Hospital, recommended moving Imran to Shifa International Hospital. He stressed the need for specialist retinal surgeons and a high-standard facility to save Imran’s vision and health. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said the government will take Imran wherever he wants for treatment. He denied blocking the opposition protest or neglecting Imran’s health. He asked the opposition to stop politicizing the issue and said a new medical report on Imran’s condition will be issued soon. The Chief Justice is personally overseeing the matter. The sit-in continues with opposition leaders demanding urgent medical care amid rising tensions between political parties and concerns over Imran Khan’s failing eyesight.
