A gang of five armed men attacked a petrol bunk in Bilikere, Hunsur taluk, late on February 12 night. They arrived in a car with no number plate and first asked to refuel. Suddenly, they forced entry, attacked staff with machetes and daggers, and snatched cash before running away. Two staff members were hurt but suffered only minor injuries and were treated medically. The entire event was recorded on the petrol bunk’s CCTV cameras. Police are reviewing the footage and have registered a case at Bilikere Police Station. Efforts to identify and catch the accused are ongoing.
