Thiruvananthapuram Airport Adds 3 Advanced Panther CFT Fire Tenders for Faster Emergency Response
February 14, 2026
The Thiruvananthapuram airport has improved its fire safety with three new Panther CFT crash fire tenders from Rosenbauer. Each tender features a 700 HP engine that can speed up from 0 to 80 km/h in less than 30 seconds. This quick acceleration helps the team respond fast to emergencies. Each vehicle carries 12,500 litres of water, 1,500 litres of foam, and 250 kg of dry chemical powder. This large firefighting capacity boosts the airport's readiness in case of a fire. Amber Dubey, CEO of AERO at Adani Airport Holdings Limited, and Rahul Bhatkoti, CAO of Thiruvananthapuram airport, officially commissioned the new vehicles. The airport released a statement saying, "This addition reaffirms that fire safety is not just a commitment, it remains a priority at the airport."
