Israeli air strikes killed at least 11 Palestinians in Gaza on Sunday, Palestinian officials said. Israel's military called the strikes a response to ceasefire violations by Hamas. Doctors reported four people died in a strike on a tent camp for displaced families. Another strike killed five in Khan Younis in southern Gaza, and one person was shot dead in the north. Air strikes also targeted an Islamic Jihad commander in Gaza City. Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem called the attacks a "massacre" and a serious breach of the ceasefire, ahead of US President Donald Trump's first Board of Peace meeting. An Israeli military official said the strikes were "precise" and legal, aimed at militants who broke an October ceasefire. The official accused Hamas of crossing the "Yellow Line" into Israeli territory while armed, calling this a clear violation intended to hurt Israeli troops. Israel has moved the Yellow Line deeper into Gaza despite the ceasefire deal. Hamas refuses to disarm as demanded in the truce plan. Israel says it will act to disarm Hamas if needed. Qassem urged international leaders to pressure Israel to stop breaking the ceasefire and implement the peace agreement immediately. Trump’s peace board will meet Thursday in Washington, where a multibillion-dollar Gaza reconstruction plan and a UN-authorized force are expected to be announced. Since the ceasefire began, Gaza’s health ministry says around 600 Palestinians have died from Israeli fire, while Israel reports four soldiers killed by Gaza militants.
