Afzalgunj Police arrested 39-year-old Md. Riyaz Uddin alias Riyaz, a liquor depot worker from Amberpet, for stealing three two-wheelers. The arrest came after a complaint by P. Mahender of Osmania General Hospital. Mahender reported his motorcycle stolen from the hospital parking on February 11 between 10.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. Police used CCTV footage and local inquiries to catch Riyaz. During the probe, officers linked him to two earlier thefts of Honda Activa scooters reported on November 25, 2025, and January 1, 2026, in Afzalgunj. All three stolen vehicles have been recovered. Further investigation is ongoing. The police continue to dig deeper into these thefts to curb the crime.
