Dubai Police Deploys Digital Twin Tech to Solve Crimes with AI Precision
February 16, 2026
Dubai Police has adopted Digital Twin technology to boost law enforcement. This new system creates detailed 3D virtual crime scenes using advanced scanning and laser mapping. Investigators can explore a scene digitally with millimeter accuracy, as if it is frozen in time. In a recent case, a fall from a bridge by a delivery rider was first thought a suicide. But Digital Twin revealed it was a hit-and-run caused by a vehicle striking the motorcycle from behind. Another case involving a basement parking collapse showed water leakage weakened supports over time, not mysterious failure. Digital Twin combines AI, real-time data, and 3D models to help detectives test theories and examine evidence remotely. The tech allows investigators to analyze scenes thoroughly, cut errors, speed up cases, and present strong evidence in court. So far, it has clarified nearly 85 cases. This technology won the Best Innovative Project and UAE Ideas Award 2025. Dubai Police aim to lead global law enforcement with AI and smart digital tools, making crime investigations faster and more accurate.
