Gachibowli Police Arrest Three in Theft of 60 Laptops from University of Hyderabad

Gachibowli police arrested three people for stealing 60 laptops from the C.R. Rao Advanced Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science (AIMSCS) at the University of Hyderabad. The theft happened on Sunday night. A case was filed on Monday under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The accused are 30-year-old Regula Chandra Shekar from Kukatpally, and two students: 19-year-old Sai Charan and 19-year-old Ashwin Rao. Police said they knew the campus layout and security well. They entered the premises during late night hours and took the laptops to sell them for illegal profit.
Police recovered all 60 laptops, along with three mobile phones and two cars with numbers TS 15 FP 7697 and TG 11 C 3963. The items will be returned to the authorities after legal procedures.
The accused were sent to judicial custody. Police used CCTV footage and technical evidence to catch them. Special police teams helped trace and arrest the suspects.
