JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Results Out: 12 Students Score Perfect 100, Rajasthan Leads
February 16, 2026
The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 on Monday, February 16. The exam was held from January 21 to 29 in 10 shifts across 323 cities, including 15 abroad and 33 new test centres. Over 13.04 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. Twelve candidates achieved a perfect NTA score of 100. Of these, three are from Rajasthan, two from Andhra Pradesh, and one each from Delhi, Bihar, Odisha, Haryana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Telangana. All toppers are male. A senior official clarified, "NTA scores are normalised scores across multi-shift papers and are based on the relative performance of all those who appeared for the examination in one shift. The marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each shift of examinees. The NTA score is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained." Candidates can check their results at jeemain.nta.nic.in by clicking the results link and entering their application number and date of birth. Scorecards can be downloaded for future admission use. NTA recommends printing a hard copy for counseling.
