The annual nine-day Brahmotsavam festival at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara temple in Srinivasa Mangapuram concluded solemnly on Monday with the 'Chakra Snanam' ritual in the temple tank. The TTD arranged a special enclosure for VIPs, where local MLA Pulivarthi Nani, his wife, TDP women’s wing chief Pulivarthi Sudha Reddy, TTD official V. Varalakshmi, and others took a holy dip. Earlier in the morning, the 'Pallaki Utsavam' procession took place from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., featuring the idols of Kalyana Venkateswara and his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi, along with the 'Sudarsana Chakra' or Chakrathalwar idol. The festival ended at dusk with the 'Dhwajavarohanam' ritual. The priest Balaji Rangacharyulu lowered the holy flag that was raised on the first day, marking the conclusion of the cosmic celebration. Nearly 20,000 devotees were served about 10 types of 'Prasadam' daily. On major days like Garuda Seva, Rathotsavam, and Chakra Snanam, food was distributed to 25,000 to 30,000 devotees at the Annaprasadam counter. Around 100 'Srivari Sevaks' volunteered during the festival. The TTD medical team cared for about 1,000 devotees, while 1,500 devotees received free medicines from the S.V. Ayurvedic hospital, according to a TTD statement.
