February 17, 2026
A 21-year-old man, Gurpreet Randhawa of Wolverhampton, UK, has been sentenced to 18 years in jail for serious sex offences against children. The crimes involved two 15-year-old girls and a 12-year-old girl, police said. Randhawa pleaded guilty at Wolverhampton Crown Court to four counts of rape, two counts of taking indecent images of a child, and two offences of sharing indecent images and engaging in sexual communication, according to West Midlands Police. The offences happened between July 2024 and September 2025. Randhawa persuaded two 15-year-old girls he met online to meet him in person. He raped one girl three times between August and September 2024. One attack happened in a car park in Wolverhampton, where he raped her in his vehicle and grabbed her throat when she resisted. The girl told her school about the attack, who alerted police. Randhawa was arrested the same day. Police also found that Randhawa used fake online identities to contact a 12-year-old girl. He engaged in sexual conversations and sent inappropriate videos and pictures of himself. He threatened her to send indecent images and pressured her friends to do the same. Police said Randhawa also smoked drugs with the girls during one attack. Detective Constable Mark Tallis said Randhawa "targeted and exploited young girls for his own sexual desires." He praised the victims' courage in helping police secure a strong case and conviction. Randhawa will be on the sex offenders register for life.
