Day One of BioAsia 2026 saw big announcements from firms in Telangana, launching projects that promise many new jobs. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was present as these plans unfolded. French healthcare firm Opella Healthcare, spun off from Sanofi, is expanding its Hyderabad GCC office into a 42,000 sq. ft. space. This will create up to 500 jobs in the next year. Vaksindo Animal Health, part of Indonesian multinational JAPFA, will build a BSL-3 vaccine manufacturing plant in Genome Valley. It aims to produce vaccines for poultry, cattle, swine, and aquaculture, creating about 300 jobs. AI and data company Tredence Inc is opening a new 20,000 sq. ft. innovation centre in Nanakramguda, Hyderabad. Focused on AI-driven healthcare and life sciences analytics, this hub will support global operations. Already over 400 employees work in Telangana, with plans to grow to 2,200 by 2027. Tredence plans to add 700 new jobs in 2026 and 1,100 more in 2027. Chief Technology Officer and co-founder Sumit Mehra said, "our expansion announcement represents a strategic investment in the city’s robust data and AI talent landscape and as well as its rapidly evolving retail, CPG and consumer GCC ecosystem." Another major announcement came from Rx Propellant, which will build a large Life Sciences campus over 1 million sq. ft. on 12 acres in Genome Valley. The ₹1,000 crore project will come in phases over six years and is expected to generate 5,000 jobs. These moves highlight Telangana's growing strength in health, science, and technology sectors.
