Dubai Metro Adjusts Timings for Ramadan 2026 with Extended Hours and Parking Changes
February 18, 2026
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced new Metro timings for Ramadan 2026, starting February 18. Both the Red and Green Lines will operate with revised hours to support residents’ fasting, prayer, and social needs. The Metro will run longer on Friday nights, until 1 am, to accommodate late Taraweeh prayers and gatherings.
The RTA explained the changes respond to shifts in daily routines during Ramadan. Early mornings and late evenings see more travel due to Suhoor and Iftar activities. Besides the Metro, Dubai Tram will operate longer into the night. Public buses and marine services will adjust schedules; commuters should check the S’hail app for daily updates.
Parking payment rules have a special twist. A two-shift payment system runs Monday to Saturday, easing costs during peak Iftar times. Salik tolls are priced at AED 6 between 9 am and 5 pm. They drop to AED 4 outside these hours and are free from 2 am to 7 am, supporting early Suhoor travelers.
These changes aim to keep Dubai moving smoothly throughout Ramadan. The RTA advises commuters to plan ahead to avoid peak-hour rushes, especially near sunset. With altered timings reflecting the holy month’s rhythm, Dubai’s transport network is ready to serve the city’s fasting and festive pulse.
