Two Men Dead in Gujarat SUV Crash Carrying 677 Bottles of Liquor

Two men died after their SUV crashed into a tree near Vav-Tharad, Gujarat, on Wednesday morning. The vehicle was carrying 677 bottles of liquor. Gujarat prohibits the manufacture, sale, and consumption of alcohol. The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. when the driver lost control. The two men, Kanaram Rabari (30) and Pintu Bajirana (28) from Rajasthan, died on the spot, said Tharad Police Inspector A.T. Patel. They were traveling from Piluda to Karbun village in Gujarat. Police found the vehicle had duplicate number plates. Bajirana had a previous criminal record related to the Prohibition Act. A case is registered against the driver for violating the Prohibition Act and using fake number plates. The bodies were sent for post-mortem. Further investigation is ongoing.
