Thousands of households in Hong Kong faced water problems during Lunar New Year celebrations. A pipe burst at Hei Wah House in Lok Wah South Estate, Sau Mau Ping at 8pm Tuesday. This stopped water for 216 homes from the second to seventh floors. Social media showed water pouring like a waterfall from the building. The Water Supplies Department sent a water wagon to help residents. After repairs, water service returned at 7am Wednesday. However, leaks remained. Maintenance will continue repairs from 11pm Wednesday to 7am Thursday, the Housing Authority said.
