Zelensky Calls Trump’s Peace Demands on Ukraine ‘Not Fair’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said US President Donald Trump unfairly pressures Ukraine alone in the war with Russia. Zelensky told US website Axios that Trump publicly asks Ukraine, not Russia, to make peace concessions. "I hope it is just his tactics and not the decision," Zelensky said. He added any peace plan asking Ukraine to give up territory not held by Russia in eastern Donbas would be rejected by Ukrainians in a referendum. Trump recently told reporters, "Ukraine better come to the table fast. That’s all I’m telling you." Zelensky hinted it might be easier for Trump to pressure Ukraine than Russia. The interview came as Russian, Ukrainian, and US negotiators met in Geneva to discuss peace.
