During Labor Day weekend, Joan C. Edwards Stadium at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, became the heart of an unforgettable music party. Normally packed with football fans, the stadium on August 30 was bursting with excitement as about 30,000 people gathered to watch country singer Zach Bryan live – his first-ever sold-out concert there! The big day was even busier across West Virginia because while Zach was lighting up the stage in Huntington, football games were happening in Morgantown and Georgia. But it was Zach Bryan’s concert that stole the show. According to Marshall Public Safety Director Jim Terry, “We probably had 30,000 inside,” showing just how massive the crowd was. Planning this huge event started six weeks earlier, involving all law enforcement in Cabell County to keep things smooth. Terry explained, “We took our basic football plan and expanded it for a concert,” since this was the first time the stadium hosted such a big music event, although it has seen over 40,000 at past football championship games. Social media buzzed after the concert, with fans sharing it took hours to leave Huntington, but Terry confirmed there were no major problems. He added that future concerts will see even better arrangements. The show itself was pure magic! Zach Bryan’s small tour hit Marshall University as one of its few exclusive stops. The concert kicked off with opening acts 'Petey USA' and 'Trampled By Turtles,' setting the perfect mood. Then Zach and his band wowed the crowd with hits like “Overtime.” As the grand finale, Zach walked right into the crowd, singing “Revival” surrounded by dazzling fireworks. Local businesses felt the buzz too. Workers at Rooster's in Huntington’s Pullman Square said they were busy all day. A bartender told WCHS TV, “People were just excited to be in town and doing something historical.” Sharing his joy, Zach posted on Instagram, “West Virginia is a beautiful place, thank you guys for having my band and me. Two more shows this year!” Looking ahead, Zach Bryan will perform soon at Notre Dame Stadium in Indiana and on September 27 at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor. At 29 years old, this rising country star is making big waves with his music and fans across America.
