But Israel also stressed care, saying, “Prior to the strike, measures were taken in order to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and additional intelligence.” And they declared a firm commitment: “The IDF and ISA will continue to operate with determination in order to defeat the Hamas terrorist organization responsible for the October 7 massacre.” This operation marks the first time Israel has launched an attack inside Qatar — shaking the region and showing just how high the stakes have become. It also came just after Hamas’ chief negotiator Khalil Al-Hayya met Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani in Doha on Monday, making these explosions all the more dramatic.
