Priya Sachdev Kapur Steps into Spotlight Amid Fiery Family Fight for Sunjay Kapur’s ₹30,000 Crore Empire

The drama in the Kapur family is heating up! After the sudden death of Sunjay Kapur, a fierce fight for his business empire has erupted. In a striking move, his wife Priya Sachdev Kapur attended an important Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) meeting in New Delhi by special invite. This was no ordinary attendance; Priya was there as a director of Aureus Investment (AIPL), the Kapur family's investment office that owns a big stake in their auto parts company, Sona Comstar. According to The Times of India, Priya was a "special invitee to the executive committee meeting after being called for the event by ACMA president Vikrampati Singhania." Her presence sent a clear message — she is now the main face of Sunjay’s business legacy. Priya shared a few words in the closed meeting, saying she "would be happy to shoulder any responsibility that the industry body entrusts her with." The event started with a heartfelt tribute to the late Sunjay Kapur, who was the chairman of Sona Comstar when he passed away. Priya was present as colleagues and industry leaders fondly remembered Sunjay's leadership and contributions. But behind this public appearance lies a fierce family feud. Sunjay’s mother, Rani Kapur, and sister, Mandhira Kapur, charge that Priya has taken complete control of the family's wealth, which is valued at an eye-popping ₹30,000 crore! Rani even claimed that Priya "usurped Sunjay’s estate, leaving her with nothing." Adding to the twists, Sunjay’s former wife, actor Karisma Kapur, entered the scene with legal action in Delhi High Court. She’s fighting for her two children’s share of Sunjay's estate. The couple married in 2003 but divorced in 2016. The court recently ordered Priya to reveal all movable and immovable assets of Sunjay as of June 12 — the sad day he died in a polo accident in the UK. This family saga promises more twists as all eyes watch who will control this massive business legacy.
