In an effort to boost Kashmir tourism and stand against terrorism, approximately 100 travel companies and several associate agencies in Kolkata have initiated the 'Chalo Kashmir' drive. This united front aims to revive the hospitality industry in Kashmir after the Pahalgam attack, which is seen as an attempt to cripple the sector. These companies manage around 4 lakh domestic tourists annually, with 40,000 of them visiting J&K. The industry leaders believe that by encouraging tourists to return, they can effectively combat terrorism. More groups are expected to join this noble cause.
