The powerful duo, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, are set to visit the state in a grand sequence of events from November 7 to 9. On November 7, Finance Minister Sitharaman will kickstart her visit by exploring the Jagiroad Semiconductor plant site. That same day, she will officially open the dazzling Guwahati Gateway Terminal, a smart and modern river terminal, along with the stunning Guwahati riverfront project, said Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. On November 8, the Finance Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Swahid Kanaklata Barua State University at Bholaguri tea estate in Gohpur, promising a bright future for education in Assam. Then, on November 9, the spotlight shifts to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who will attend a mega Air Show at Lachit Ghat in Guwahati. The Indian Air Force (IAF) will light up the skies with a spectacular flying display celebrating Air Force Day. This thrilling event, carried out along the Brahmaputra River banks, will display jaw-dropping aerial stunts and formations under the inspiring theme "Infallible, Impervious and Precise" – or "acuuk, abhedy v sttiik" in Hindi. The show promises a breathtaking mix of frontline fighter jets, transport aircraft, and helicopters dancing through the sky in perfect harmony. The Air Force Day celebration isn’t just about dazzling moves; it’s a chance to inspire young people across the Northeast. Visitors will glimpse the exciting career paths in the IAF and feel the power of patriotism, discipline, and dedication to the nation.
