Get ready for the vibrant colors of unity! The famous Phool Walon Ki Sair festival, which celebrates religious harmony in Delhi, was almost put on hold due to permission issues. But don't worry—the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has finally given the thumbs-up to organise the festival this year. Lieutenant-Governor V.K. Saxena announced on Sunday that the festival will likely take place between February and March next year, bringing joy and togetherness back to the city. This news comes just days after organisers had to put the centuries-old event on pause because of "limited permission" from the DDA. Mr. Saxena took a firm stand, warning, "any officer found acting against public interest would face punishment under laid-down provisions," making it clear that public welfare is the top priority. According to Raj Niwas, the DDA has informed the organisers about its green light. However, organisers from the Anjuman Sair-e-Gul Faroshan society say they have not yet received any formal communication about the permission. Despite this, hope and excitement are in the air as Delhi gears up to celebrate this unique festival that stitches people of different religions in a beautiful bond. So, get ready to witness the colorful procession and cultural feast of Phool Walon Ki Sair, where flowers and friendship bloom side by side in the heart of Delhi!
