A terrifying blast near Delhi's historic Red Fort killed 12 people and shook the city. But the drama did not end there! Hours after the explosion, the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) received a flurry of five calls about unclaimed bags and vehicles scattered around the city. Could these be more bombs? The answer was a big no, but the rush was real. "The first call was received at 9.15 pm from Bijwasan, reporting an unclaimed bag. We rushed a fire vehicle immediately dispatched to the spot, but nothing suspicious was found," explained a DFS official. The tension stayed high as another call came at 9.27 pm from Vasant Vihar about an unclaimed car. Fire teams zoomed over, checked thoroughly, and gave the all-clear by 10.15 pm. The calls kept coming: one at 9.34 pm from Sector 13 in Dwarka, and another at 9.35 pm near Kashmere Gate, both about unattended cars. The last alert came from Signature Bridge, Khajuri Khas at 10.01 pm, also about an unclaimed vehicle. Each time, teams worked in close coordination with the local police and found no danger. "All the reported objects turned out to be harmless. However, each call was attended to with full seriousness in coordination with local police," the official stressed. This spree of alerts shows how scared and uneasy the people of Delhi were after the Red Fort blast. "People were understandably anxious after the explosion. Teams responded swiftly to ensure there was no cause for alarm elsewhere," the official added. In these tense moments, Delhi's emergency teams showed their readiness and calm, racing against time to protect citizens from any possible threats. Though the city was rattled, the quick actions helped stop panic from spreading further.
