Excitement and tension mixed on Tuesday in Bihar's final voting phase! Near a polling booth in Warisaliganj area of Nawada district, a minor clash occurred between supporters of different political parties. Nawada Superintendent of Police Abhinav Dhiman told PTI, "A minor clash took place between supporters of different political parties around 1.5 km away from the polling booth. Officials concerned and security personnel are at the spot and they are looking into the matter. The situation in the area is completely under control and voting is underway smoothly." Rumours were flying fast that a government vehicle used for polling duty was damaged during the scuffle. But the police were quick to clear the air! Dhiman said, "The situation is under control. The rumours about the government vehicle being damaged are completely baseless. The damaged vehicle belongs to a private owner and has nothing to do with poll duty." A video of the clash went viral on social media, showing a man claiming, "He was beaten by his opponents for not casting a vote in favour of a particular party." However, PTI was unable to verify if the video was real or fake. Meanwhile, in Sitamarhi district, a case was registered against JD(U) polling agent Gautam Kumar. He was caught distributing pamphlets of his party candidate inside polling booth number 270 in Runnisaidpur, a violation of the model code of conduct. This action was based on a report from the circle officer of Runnisaidpur block. Elsewhere, some media outlets reported clashes in Aurangabad and Araria districts. But the Election Commission was quick to shut down these stories, calling them "misleading." Thus, they clarified: no serious trouble in those areas. So, despite a few bumps, Bihar’s election day marched on with voters casting their ballots. The authorities are keeping a sharp eye to ensure peace and fair play continue till the end!
