Big drama unfolds as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) pulled off a massive raid on Al-Falah University and its associates this Tuesday! Just days after three university doctors were linked to a terror module involved in the chilling Red Fort blast on November 10, ED teams searched over two dozen spots tied to the university, its trustees, and related firms.

Shockingly, Umar Un Nabi, the driver who carried the explosive device that went off near Red Fort, was working at Al-Falah University in Faridabad as an assistant professor in general medicine. This added fuel to the ongoing probe.

As the day progressed, the ED made a bold move: arresting Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, the Chairman of the Al-Falah group! This came after piecing together evidence found during the searches.

The case rests on two FIRs filed by the Delhi Police Crime Branch. These FIRs expose Al-Falah University’s sneaky moves—fraudulently claiming NAAC accreditation and pretending to have UGC status to trick students, parents, and the public. The FIRs allege the university projected false UGC recognition with an "oblique motive" to cheat aspirants.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) cleared the air, explaining that Al-Falah University is recognized only under Section 2(f) as a State Private University and has never applied for Section 12(B), disqualifying it from certain grants.

ED teams launched their raids across 19 places in Delhi—including the university campus and homes of key group members. And guess what? The agency uncovered ”large amounts” of crime proceeds!

“Evidence reveals that crores of rupees were diverted by the trust to family-owned entities. For example, construction and catering contracts were given by the trust/Jawad Ahmed to entities owned by his wife and children. During the searches, cash of over ₹48 lakh, multiple digital devices and documentary records were seized. Multiple shell companies of the group have been identified...,” the ED statement declared.

This sensational crackdown exposes both terror links and financial fraud swirling around Al-Falah University. The investigation continues, and eyes stay glued on what happens next in this explosive saga!
