Drama unfolds again in Uttar Pradesh! The UP Education Services Selection Commission (UPESSC) has postponed the U.P. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) exam once more, on November 19, 2025. This marks the fifth time this important exam has been delayed, leaving lakhs of students fuming and frustrated. Imagine waiting years to get a government job, only to be pushed back again and again! The official notice from UPESSC dated November 18, 2025, said, “The Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) written examination scheduled for November 18 and 19, 2025, has now been postponed. The new dates will be announced later.” This heartbreaking news came after many earlier postponements—from the original 2022 schedule to April, May, July, and now November of 2025. Hemant Verma, a hopeful from Prayagraj, spoke out with anger, "Such a delay is impacting over eight lakh aspirants who have filed the form and consider this examination as a major step towards upward mobility. We are standing at a bleak future." He voices what many feel: years wasted in hope and uncertainty. To put things in perspective, 8.6 lakh candidates have applied for just 3,539 seats in government schools. The stakes could not be higher! These jobs could change their lives, but the never-ending delays are crushing their dreams. The UP Education Service Selection Commission, created in 2023, holds the powerful job of picking teachers not just in government schools but also in several aided colleges and minority schools. Political voices are also joining the uproar. Ajay Rai, President of the Uttar Pradesh Congress, called the situation "a criminal act against aspirants." He said, "Continuous delay for years in conducting examination is a criminal act against aspirants who are preparing for examinations. It is shameful that youths are forced to spend years jobless due to fault of the government system, investing lakhs in preparation and accommodation." The government and UPESSC now face a storm of criticism. The young crowd waiting eagerly for a break can only hope that this endless game of postponements ends soon, and the exam dates finally stick. Otherwise, the fate of thousands of dreams and futures hangs in the balance.
