Telangana's Gram Panchayat Elections 2025 Kicks Off With Over 3,000 Nominations on Day One!

Telangana’s Gram Panchayat Elections 2025 have begun with a big splash! On the very first day to submit nominations for the first election phase, a total of 3,242 nominations poured in for 4,236 Sarpanch posts. Meanwhile, 1,821 candidates filed nominations for a massive 37,440 ward member posts on Thursday. The excitement has officially kicked off! The deadline to submit your nomination forms is sharp by 5 p.m. on November 29, 2025. After that, the official list of all candidates stepping into the electoral ring will be unveiled on December 3, 2025.
This election is a grand affair spread over three thrilling phases. The first phase of voting is locked for December 11, followed closely by the second phase on December 14, and the third and final round on December 17. This huge democratic exercise covers a whopping 12,278 village panchayats and over 1.12 lakh ward seats across Telangana.
The Election Notice for the first phase was officially announced on Thursday, setting the stage for poll fever. Various districts have already started election-related activities, including dividing Gram Panchayats into clusters to manage nominations efficiently. For example, in Sangareddy district, polling venues were declared and smooth arrangements put into place.
Adding more energy to the election buzz, a Media Centre was inaugurated in Vikarabad district by the Collector Prateek Jain and General Observer Shaik Yasmeen Basha. Not stopping there, the Nirmal District Observer Ayesha Masrat Khanam along with the district Collector Abhilasha Abhinav personally inspected the nomination receiving center at Vadyal Gram Panchayat Centre in Laxmanchand Mandal.
