November 28, 2025
Trouble brewed in Gadwar, a village in Uttar Pradesh, when miscreants struck again! The statue of Bhimrao Ambedkar, proudly standing along Gadwar-Nagra Road in Rampur Asli village, was found damaged with a broken finger on the night of November 26, 2025. This shocking damage is the fifth time Ambedkar statues around the area have been targeted, stirring anger and unrest among the locals.
The very next day, a team of officials, led by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ravi Kumar and City Circle Officer Mohammad Usman, rushed to the scene to assess the situation and calm tempers. Villagers, boiling with frustration, handed over a strong five-point memorandum. They demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible, a protective boundary wall around the statue, and CCTV cameras to guard against future attacks.
“We will not tolerate these acts of disrespect,” said villagers gathered at the spot. The officials assured them, promising strict action and calmness. Station House Officer Hitesh Kumar confirmed, “The damaged statue has been repaired, and CCTV cameras have been installed at the site. The situation is peaceful and under control.”
An FIR under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 was registered based on a complaint from a villager. The police are on the hunt for the culprits, but as of now, no one has been caught.
This series of attacks has shaken the community deeply. Yet, their spirit to protect the symbols of their pride and identity remains unbroken. The people are watching closely – demanding justice with passion and patience.
