Telangana DCA Busts Unlicensed Khammam Medical Shop with ₹30,000 Medicines Stock

The Telangana Drugs Control Administration (DCA) raided an unlicensed medical shop at Mamillagudem in Khammam district on November 29. The shop, run by P.V. Narendra Kumar without a valid drug licence, was found selling medicines illegally. Officials seized 101 varieties of medicines, including antibiotics, antihypertensives, antidiabetics, and painkillers. The total value of the seized stock was around ₹30,000. Samples were collected for further analysis, and investigations are ongoing. DCA officials warned of action against wholesalers and dealers supplying to the unlicensed shop. They said that "supplying medicines to entities without a valid drug licence is punishable under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act."
