On November 28, the Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) conducted surprise checks in Shadnagar. They found several unqualified practitioners and clinics working without permission. One doctor, Dr Anand Kumar Chettipally from ABV Hospital, holds an MBBS degree but falsely claimed an “MD from London.” He ran a multi-speciality centre and conducted 2D echo tests with an echo technician. TGMC issued him a notice and plans to forward the case to the Ethical Committee. Action against the technician will be recommended under NMC and TMPR Act. Officials also found other clinics offering allopathic treatments without valid medical qualifications. Keerthi Polyclinic, run by G. Balakrishna and Raju, took part in illegal allopathic treatments. Balaji Polyclinic, run by Venkatesh, also operated without proper permissions. Ganesh First Aid Centre, led by Bhaskara Chari, wrongly called itself a first-aid center while giving allopathic procedures. TGMC said these centres put public health at risk by using dangerous steroids, pain killers, and antibiotics without proper knowledge or approval. The council vowed to continue strict measures against fake degrees, unrecognized qualifications, and unauthorized services like scanning or echo tests.
