Light Rain Hits Telangana; Officials Rush to Protect Harvest from Cyclone Ditwah

On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, Telangana saw rain only in two districts. Mulugu received 24.3 mm and Nirmal recorded 3.3 mm from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., according to Telangana Development Planning Society. The rest of the state remained mostly dry until late morning. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu battled heavy rain under Cyclone Ditwah's impact. The India Meteorological Department's Hyderabad Centre forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers in isolated parts of Telangana. In response, Nagarkurnool District Collector Badavath Santhosh directed officials to protect the harvested paddy and cotton from soaking in rain. Civil Supplies and Agriculture Marketing staff were ordered to move the crops to safe locations.
