Qatar Launches Digital System for Hajj 1447 AH Pilgrim Selection and Registration
December 2, 2025
Qatar is preparing to welcome 4,400 pilgrims for Hajj 1447 AH by launching a new electronic selection and registration system. Starting December 2, 2025, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) will notify shortlisted pilgrims via SMS. Approved applicants must register within seven days with one of 24 accredited Hajj operators through www.hajj.gov.qa. Missing the deadline cancels their spot.
Pilgrims pay an advance of QAR 10,000 during registration, part of the total Hajj cost, which varies based on services like accommodation and transport. They also sign an electronic contract selecting their operator. This advance payment ensures commitment and helps operators plan trips well.
This year’s system features smoother online payment options and opens early registration. This allows better trip organization and quality service for pilgrims. Awqaf is coordinating closely with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for a smooth pilgrimage.
For help, pilgrims can call the hotline at 132. The Ministry says, “These coordinated efforts reflect its commitment to providing an organized, transparent, and fulfilling Hajj experience for all pilgrims from Qatar.”
