The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) conducted a massive digital lottery on Tuesday to select devotees for the first three days of the 10-day Vaikunta Dwara Darshan starting December 30. Out of 24.05 lakh registrations, about 1.76 lakh pilgrims were chosen using a clear and tech-driven method. The registration window opened on November 27 and saw a huge response: 9.28 lakh on the TTD website, 13.29 lakh on mobile, and 1.47 lakh on WhatsApp. This shows the impressive digital reach of the temple. Immediately after the draw, TTD removed duplicate entries and sent confirmation messages with official tickets by 2 p.m. They also shared Google Maps links so devotees could easily find their darshan reporting points. The allowed numbers are 57,000 devotees on Vaikunta Ekadasi, 64,000 on Dwadasi, and 55,000 on January 1, which is New Year’s Day. For the final seven days of the event, pilgrims can attend Vaikunta Dwara Darshan without tickets, making it accessible to more people. Additionally, TTD will offer 15,000 Special Entry Darshan (SED) tickets at ₹300 each and 1,000 SriVani tickets each day during the last seven days. Bookings for these will start on December 5.
