Fatal Fire Breaks Out in Multi-Storey Building in Delhi's Rithala

A tragic incident unfolded in northwest Delhi's Rithala as a fire engulfed a multi-storey building, resulting in the loss of four lives and leaving three individuals injured. The blaze originated in the Rana Complex, a four-storey structure primarily utilized for plastic and readymade bag production. Firefighters rushed to the scene with sixteen fire tenders promptly mobilized for rescue operations. The fire, believed to have started on the lower floors, rapidly ascended, entrapping numerous workers. Among the victims were victims from various sections of the building. Nitin Bansal managed a bag manufacturing unit on the ground and first floors, while a tenant named Anand utilized the second floor for fabric work. The top two floors were rented out as a godown for disposable goods. A harrowing rescue mission ensued, resulting in the retrieval of three individuals, including Nitin Bansal and a worker named Rakesh, who sustained critical burn injuries. Another worker named Virender suffered minor burns and was also hospitalized. Tragically, four charred bodies were discovered on the first floor in the early hours of Wednesday, their identities obscured by the severity of burns. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing, with authorities delving into the circumstances surrounding this devastating incident.
