The National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID) and Hyderabad-based Divi’s Foundation for Gifted Children signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. This partnership aims to improve services for children with developmental disabilities. The collaboration merges NIEPID’s national expertise in disability empowerment with Divi’s Foundation’s work in developmental care, training, and community programs. According to a release, the organisations will work together on early identification and intervention, capacity building for professionals and caregivers, joint research, and efforts to raise community awareness and inclusion. A joint coordination committee will oversee the partnership for three years to ensure smooth implementation and regular knowledge sharing.
