IndiGo Flight Delays Cause Chaos in Kerala for Third Day
December 5, 2025
IndiGo, India’s largest airline, struggled with flight disruptions in Kerala for the third day on Friday, December 5, 2025. Two inbound flights to Thiruvananthapuram from Pune and Bengaluru were cancelled. Six flights, including arrivals and departures, were delayed by hours. This added to the chaos at Kerala’s airports. On Thursday, IndiGo delayed around 10 domestic and international flights to and from Thiruvananthapuram. Delays ranged from 30 minutes to 4 hours. Similar problems affected the three other airports in the state. What started as a software advisory turned into a bigger crisis. IndiGo apologized to passengers and industry stakeholders. The airline said teams are working hard to reduce the impact and restore normal operations. “We continue to keep our customers apprised of any changes to their scheduled flights and advise them to check the latest status at https://www.goindigo.in/check-flight-status.html before heading to the airport,” the statement said. In response, Thiruvananthapuram airport authorities arranged extra seating and deployed more staff to manage the growing passenger crowd.
