Dr. Jayashree, 57, a gynaecologist running Hommaradi Hospital in Gandhi Nagar, Shivamogga, and her son Aakash, 34, were found dead in their home on December 5. Police suspect both died by suicide late night on December 4. Dr. Jayashree was found on the ground floor, while Aakash was found on the first floor. Aakash had remarried in May after his first wife died by suicide one and a half years ago. The police received information in the afternoon, after Jayashree's daughter-in-law, who lived in a separate room in the same house, alerted them. The rooms were locked until police arrived.
