Congress Parliamentary party leader Sonia Gandhi praised the Telangana government's plan to hold the Telangana Rising 2047 Global Summit on December 8 and 9. She called the event a key move to transform the State into a $1 trillion economy by 2034. Gandhi congratulated Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for leading this global initiative to attract investment to Telangana. Gandhi said the summit will be a major platform for all groups involved in the State’s development. “Telangana is progressing with a three-tier strategy that gives equal importance to urban, semi-urban, and rural-agricultural development,” she said. She also highlighted Telangana’s strong points: "Telangana’s human resources, natural resources, entrepreneurial abilities, international talent pool and advancing technological capabilities, will get momentum through the summit." The Congress leader expressed hope that the Chief Minister’s efforts will greatly boost Telangana’s growth.
