10-Day-Old Baby Named Bhim Found in Kerala's Electronic Cradle After 17 Days
December 6, 2025
A 10-day-old baby boy weighing 2.13 kg was found in the Ammathottil electronic cradle of the Kerala State Council for Child Welfare on Friday night around 10:50 p.m. After a quick checkup, he was taken to Women and Children Hospital, Thycaud, for a full medical examination, which showed the infant is healthy. The baby was named Bhim after B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of India's Constitution, who passed away on the same day. This is the first time in 17 days that a baby has been left in the electronic cradle. The council advised anyone related to the infant to contact them soon, as adoption procedures will begin shortly.
