December 7, 2025
In Rajanna Sircilla district, Telangana, Class X student Blessy from Suddala village is making waves with her strong stand against voter bribery. Before the Gram Panchayat elections, she displayed a banner outside her home to spread awareness about ethical voting. The banner reads, “We will not sell our votes. We believe in the potential of voting to usher in the development of our village and country as a whole.” It also states, “Those who induce voters with money or liquor don’t come to our house,” emphasizing the need to keep elections fair. Blessy studies at the Telangana Social Welfare Residential School for girls in Baddenapally and is known for her environmental activism alongside her father Prakash, a nature lover. Their family’s green efforts like making and scattering seed balls in forest areas have won praise in the community. Now, Blessy is using her voice to strengthen democracy and inspire voters to reject bribes and vote with integrity.
