The Indian Navy band of the Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam, gave a stunning symphonic performance at Navy House, Bolarum on Sunday. This set the tone for their upcoming public concert at Sarath City Mall, Kondapur on Monday. The concert, titled Sargam 2025, was graced by Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma as the chief guest. The event was hosted by Rear Admiral Ashwani Kumar Tikkoo, director of DMDE Secunderabad. The band included two women Agniveers and opened with a golden jubilee presentation featuring the ABBA Gold medley. Popular songs like Mamma Mia and Dancing Queen thrilled the audience. The performance continued with patriotic and emotional numbers such as Vande Mataram and Sujalam Sufalam from the film Fighter. The band also played Michael Jackson’s Heal the World and classic hits from Amitabh Bachchan’s movies. The concert moved on to Bollywood hits from the 2000s. It ended with a powerful medley of tri-services songs and the patriotic anthem Saare Jahan Se Accha. This musical evening was a perfect blend of popular and patriotic tunes, leaving the crowd eager for the next show.
